Hello! I'm Amanda. The creative mind and crazy craft woman behind IowaFarmLifeDreams and TheShabbyWhiteBarn on Etsy!

While pregnant with my 3rd child in 2013 I decide it was time to make major life change. I was tired of the draining office job I was in, paying someone else to care for my children while I was sitting at a desk all day. I had a classmate, and dear friend that kept telling me about her success on Etsy. I finally decided to sit down with her to learn more. She, also a mother of 3, showed me the ropes. She guided me through hundreds of questions and changed our lives forever. She has introduced me to many other local sellers and we have become great friends and meet monthly do discuss life, business and have lots of laughs.

I lost my only full sister to cancer in 2012. I still feel a part of my heart is forever gone, but I know we will meet again someday. This also lead to my decision to find more meaning to life, and not just walk through life, mundane and unsatisfied.

I opened my first shop in the spring of 2013 (IowaFarmLifeDreams), and this, my second, in the fall of 2014. It has been a crazy, educational adventure, that I wouldn't change for the world. I'm still shocked at all the new things I have learned to do, and still learn every day.
I love showing my 3 kids that you can do anything you want to, you just have to put your mind to it.
